WHAT MAKES THIS FUND UNIQUE?

This fund uniquely brings together the global LogRhythm community towards the benefit of others.  By leveraging the eyes and ears of the thousands of people in our community, we hope to identify charities, organizations, and individuals who might not receive critical support absent this effort.

WHY WAS THIS FUND STARTED?

This creation of this fund was spearheaded by LogRhythm co-founder Chris Petersen.  Chris is grateful to the community of people who have made LogRhythm successful, and wants to give back in a time of need.  LogRhythm co-founder Phil Villella, who also shares a desire to give back, has joined Chris to provide initial capital for the fund.

WHO IS THE LOGRHYTHM COMMUNITY?

The LogRhythm community starts with the core of our family - our current and past employees.  Our community extends further to our investors, our partners, our friends, and of course, the thousands of customers across the globe who have made this community possible through their trust in LogRhythm products and services.

CAN I DONATE TO SUPPORT THE FUND?

Absolutely!  Donations are very much appreciated and amplify the impact of the fund.  Donations can be made via GoFundMe.

IS THE FUND A 501(C)(3) AND WILL BE DONATIONS BE TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

No, the fund is not a 501(c)(3) and unfortunately donations will not be tax deductible.

WHAT TYPE OF CHARITIES AND ORGANIZATIONS QUALIFY FOR A GRANT?

Charities and organizations who are serving on the front line of the Covid-19 crisis, helping individuals most impacted will be prioritized.  Our hearts and our thanks go out to the healthcare workers, emergency response personnel, food bank operators, grocery cashiers, etc. who put their health at risk to serve others and ensure essential services commence.

WHAT TYPE OF PERSONAL HARDSHIPS QUALIFY FOR A GRANT?

Grants will be prioritized for financial hardships pertaining to essential needs.  Examples of essential needs include groceries, housing, and medical expenses.  For individual grants, this fund serves to augment economic relief efforts available through federal, state, local governments.  If individual financial hardships can be addressed through federal, state, or community programs, these avenues should be pursued first.  Grants for personal hardships will be prioritized for current and past LogRhythm employees.

CAN I APPLY FOR A GRANT ON MY OWN BEHALF?

Yes, absolutely!  While an intent of this fund is to engage the LogRhythm community to find those in need, we recognize those in our community might need direct help themselves.  If this is you, please submit a grant on your own behalf.

DO GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS NEED TO BE REPAID?

No!  Grants are a gift to help in a time of need.

CAN PAST EMPLOYEE'S SUBMIT GRANTS?

Yes, of course!  All LogRhythm employee's, past or present, make up the core of our community.

HOW ARE GRANTS REVIEWED AND APPROVED?

During the height of the crisis, the grant review committee will meet at least once a week.  The committee will strive to approve, decline, or defer grants within 5 business days of submission and notify the grant submitter within that time frame.

WHO IS ON THE GRANT COMMITTEE?

The grant committee consists of five individuals.  The committee includes LogRhythm co-founders Chris Petersen and Phil Villella.  There are two current employees on the committee.  Andrea Fullerton has been with LogRhythm for five years and greatly represents  company culture and values.  Martin Landless, also a great steward of culture, helped establish and is a leader within LogRhythm's international operations.  The committee also includes Trent Heisler who as a very early employee had significant influence in establishing  founding culture and company success.

WILL I KNOW WHO HAS RECEIVED GRANTS?

Yes.  A full accounting of all disbursements will be provided.  We will share the name of all charities and organizations we have donated to and the reason for.  For individuals receiving grants, we will not share personal information, but we will share the impact it has made in their life.
